Gaspar Noé

Gaspar Noé is an Argentine-born filmmaker whose career developed in France. After studying cinema in Paris, he made short films before establishing Les Cinémas de la Zone with Lucile Hadžihalilović. Carne and its feature-length continuation, Seul contre tous, introduced his interest in alienation and extreme states of experience.

His later films include Irréversible, Enter the Void, Love and Vortex. He often takes on several roles in a production, including writing, editing and cinematography. Cannes has presented his work both in competition and in its other official selections.
