Biography

Person.

Vincent Peters is a German-born photographer whose career developed through British fashion publishing before expanding into international editorial, advertising and fine-art portraiture. He began professionally in England working for The Face and Vogue, where his images established a cinematic approach that treats models and celebrities less as neutral clothes-hangers than as performers occupying carefully lit scenes.

Peters’s photographs favour dramatic black-and-white or restrained colour, controlled shadow and a sense of narrative suspended just before or after an event. His later editorial and commercial work has appeared across major international magazines and campaigns for fashion houses including Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, Miu Miu and Bottega Veneta, while his photographs have also been exhibited by institutions and galleries including Fotografiska and Palazzo Reale in Milan.
