Xavier Mas

Xavier Mas is a photographer and director who grew up in London and studied visual communication at the Royal College of Art. His photographic practice developed from earlier experiments with film, sculpture and other forms of image-making.

His work combines fashion and still life with an interest in the stories suggested by people and objects, drawing on cinema and painting as well as documentary observation. Mas is also involved in independent publishing through Noon and After Noon. He was editor at large and a contributing photographer for After Noon’s first issue, Borders, developed with creative director and founder Jasmine Raznahan.
