Biography
Person.
Keith Floyd was a British cook, restaurateur, television presenter and food writer, born in Somerset in 1943. After army service he worked in restaurants in Britain and France, eventually running his own establishments. A meeting with a television producer at his Bristol bistro led to Floyd on Fish and a succession of cookery series.
His programmes made his humour and on-camera personality part of the cooking, including conversation with the crew. Floyd wrote more than twenty-five books and presented around twenty television series during his career. He died in 2009.
