Julie Verhoeven

Julie Verhoeven is a British artist and illustrator working across fashion, drawing, film and installation. She studied fashion at the Kent Institute of Art and Design and worked with John Galliano and Martine Sitbon before developing her own collaborations. These have included Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Peter Jensen and Chloé.

Verhoeven has exhibited at the ICA and other art spaces, made books and zines, and co-directed the Sugababes video for “New Year”. The Victoria and Albert Museum acquired a substantial group of her drawings in 2012. Her practice places fashion imagery in conversation with a more unruly world of bodies, humour and personal fantasy.
