Anna Sui

Anna Sui is an American fashion designer whose collections draw on music, vintage clothing, art history and decorative arts. Born and raised in Detroit, she joined New York’s creative scene in the 1970s. Her first runway presentation in 1991 established a public platform for designs combining rock culture with romantic and historical references.

Her work extends to textiles, accessories, cosmetics and interiors. The World of Anna Sui, first presented at London’s Fashion and Textile Museum in 2017, subsequently travelled to New York’s Museum of Arts and Design.
