Ben Weasel

Ben Weasel, also known as Ben Foster, is an American punk musician and writer associated with the Chicago scene. He is best known as the founder, singer and guitarist of Screeching Weasel, and has also performed with the Riverdales and released solo work.

Writing and independent publishing form another substantial part of his career. He produced the fanzine Panic Button and wrote columns for publications including Maximum Rocknroll and Jersey Beat. His books include the novel Like Hell and the essay collection Punk Is a Four-Letter Word. His output places music, argument and small-press publishing within the same punk practice.
