Warren Ellis

Warren Ellis is a British writer whose comics include Transmetropolitan, Planetary, The Authority and Red. His work often combines speculative ideas with crime, political satire and investigations of power. He also wrote the novels Crooked Little Vein, Gun Machine and Normal.

Ellis extended his screenwriting into animation as the writer and a producer of the first four seasons of Castlevania. In 2020, several women publicly accused him of sexual misconduct. His response acknowledged failures to recognise unequal power in his personal relationships, while denying that he had knowingly coerced, manipulated or abused anyone.
