Biography
Person.
Matthew Waite is a comics artist and graphic designer based in Chicago. His cover work includes pixel-art images that adapt the visual language of early video games to superhero characters. Marvel commissions include Edge of Spider-Verse, Avengers A.I., What If...? and Cable: Love and Chrome.
His illustration work also extends to Image titles including G.I. Joe and Exquisite Corpses, and to biographical comics in TidalWave's Fame line. Alongside conventional drawing, his use of tightly structured digital images connects comics cover design with the look of older screen-based popular culture.
