Justin Hawkins

Justin Hawkins is the singer and guitarist of British rock band the Darkness. With his brother Dan Hawkins on guitar, the group became widely known through its 2003 debut Permission to Land, combining hard-rock guitar playing, high falsetto vocals and theatrical performance.

Hawkins has also recorded as British Whale and fronted Hot Leg, as well as contributing to recordings by other rock musicians. His later work includes Justin Hawkins Rides Again, a YouTube channel and live show in which he discusses songwriting, performance and the music business. The Darkness have continued recording, including their eighth album, Dreams on Toast.
