Kai Z Feng

Kai Z Feng is a fashion photographer born in Shanghai. He initially concentrated on painting, exhibiting work in the United States and Japan, before publishing photographs in 2006 and developing an international editorial career. London became an important base for his work.

A regular contributor to Vogue China, Feng has discussed the challenge of presenting Western fashion aesthetics to Chinese readers without losing his own perspective. His work for the magazine includes fashion stories with Angelababy. In discussing portrait subjects, he has emphasised a natural presence and individual character over an image shaped entirely by other people's expectations.
