Helena Christensen is a Danish model and photographer who became one of the prominent faces of the 1990s supermodel era. Her work includes British Vogue covers, fashion campaigns and Herb Ritts's video for Chris Isaak's Wicked Game. She was the founding creative director of Nylon magazine in 1999.
Christensen has also developed a photographic practice, with exhibitions and editorial work alongside her modelling. Appointed a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador in 2019, she has used photography and writing to document the experiences of displaced people, including communities in Colombia and Rwanda.
