Tom King

Tom King is an American comics writer whose work moves between superhero fiction, crime and accounts of conflict. Before writing comics full time, he served as a counterterrorism officer with the CIA. That professional background informed work including The Sheriff of Babylon.

His books include The Vision, Mister Miracle and The Human Target, alongside a substantial run on Batman. He also wrote Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow and co-created Love Everlasting with artist Elsa Charretier. Across these projects, familiar genre structures become settings for stories about identity, responsibility and personal damage. King’s work has received Eisner, Harvey and Ringo awards.
