Sasha Eisenman

Sasha Eisenman is a photographer whose work connects fashion with the music, beach life and youth cultures of Southern California. He grew up there with a British and American family background, and his early editorial work included Dazed & Confused and i-D. His photographs draw on the surroundings and informal social worlds of the Californian coast.

His book California Girls was published by Damiani in 2014. It brings that recurring interest into a photographic volume, extending work developed across magazine assignments and personal projects. Fashion portraiture and the region’s surf and countercultural imagery remain closely connected in his practice.
