Pat McGrath is a British make-up artist raised in Northampton whose work has shaped fashion editorials, advertising and runway presentations. Her early collaboration with Edward Enninful at i-D helped establish an approach in which make-up could transform an image through colour, texture and invention.
She has created looks for houses including Prada, Miu Miu, Dior, Givenchy and Maison Margiela, and developed cosmetics for Giorgio Armani. Her practice draws on clothing, photography, film and wider popular culture, treating the face as part of a complete fashion composition. In the 2021 New Year Honours she received a damehood for services to fashion, beauty and diversity.
