Biography
Person.
Duggie Fields (1945–2021) was a British artist whose paintings combined sharp outlines, saturated colour and references to art history, fashion and popular imagery. He studied at Chelsea School of Art after an initial period studying architecture, and became associated with London’s overlapping art, music and fashion circles.
From the 1990s, he extended his practice into digital animation, music and film. His work was shown at BFI Flare in 2016, while a 2018 Modern Institute exhibition recreated the environment of his studio alongside his art.
