Lee Grainge

Lee Grainge is a DJ, electronic musician and sound practitioner whose early influences included soul, funk and electro. He began DJing in Walthamstow, worked in dance-music distribution during the acid-house era and subsequently joined the Fat Cat record shop. He released techno under several names and ran the short-lived Human Records label.

After working at Smallfish Records, Grainge studied sound design and music technology at the London Institute. His later practice included collaborative sound-and-image installations, location recording and film sound editing. For FatCat's podcast series he assembled a mix of film sound and music as a continuous listening piece.
