Martin Fry

Martin Fry is the singer and songwriter who fronts ABC, the Sheffield group whose music brought together post-punk, disco, funk and orchestrated pop. Their debut album The Lexicon of Love reached number one in Britain in 1982, establishing the sound associated with singles such as Poison Arrow and The Look of Love.

ABC's subsequent albums include Beauty Stab, How to Be a Zillionaire!, Alphabet City and Skyscraping. Fry continued the group's recording career with Traffic and The Lexicon of Love II. His theatrical vocal delivery and formal stage style became closely associated with the group's presentation.
