Perou

Perou is a photographer whose work spans fashion, music, celebrity portraiture and advertising. He became associated with Dazed’s visual culture in the 1990s, and his subjects have included musicians, actors and figures from popular entertainment. His practice extends from commissioned portraits to sustained personal projects.

His books include Marilyn Manson by Perou: 21 Years in Hell, published by Reel Art Press in 2020, and Tunnel Vision, a 2021 collaboration with Underworld’s Karl Hyde exploring English pedestrian underpasses. Perou has also photographed humanitarian work with World Extreme Medicine and Medics4Ukraine, bringing documentary assignments into a career shaped by constructed images and portraiture.
