Nooshin Shafiee

Nooshin Shafiee is an Iranian photographer whose work explores time, memory and the fleeting qualities of everyday experience. She studied photography at the Art University of Tehran and the University of Tehran. Her practice combines analogue and digital methods, using light and layered images to unsettle a straightforward reading of familiar places.

Her exhibitions include Funfair, Batten and Pulse, alongside participation in BredaPhoto and the Iran, Year 38 programme at Arles. She has also collaborated with composer Siavash Amini on A Mimesis of Nothingness. These projects extend her photographic work into an exchange with experimental music and the atmospheres suggested by both media.
