Biography
Person.
Grant Morrison is a Scottish comics writer whose career has repeatedly used superhero fiction as a laboratory for ideas about identity, mythology, authorship and the nature of fictional worlds. After early work for Marvel UK, Morrison became a major presence in 2000 AD with Zenith, a series that brought pop culture, political anxiety and an unusually self-aware approach to superheroes into the British weekly.
Their subsequent work in American comics included Animal Man, Doom Patrol, Batman: Arkham Asylum, The Invisibles, New X-Men, Batman and All-Star Superman, combining mainstream characters with formal experimentation and recurring questions about what superheroes mean to the cultures that produce them.
