Steven Klein is an American photographer who studied painting at the Rhode Island School of Design before developing a career in fashion photography. His staged images often approach fashion as a charged narrative, combining glamour with unease rather than presenting clothing in isolation.
His collaborators include Alexander McQueen, Tom Ford, Madonna and Brad Pitt, with editorial work for Vogue and Vanity Fair. His photographs have been exhibited internationally and entered collections including the V&A and London's National Portrait Gallery.
