Christopher Bailey is a British fashion designer who grew up in Yorkshire and graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1994. He worked for Donna Karan in New York and Gucci in Milan before joining Burberry as design director in 2001.
At Burberry he became chief creative officer and, from 2014 to 2017, also served as chief executive. His remit connected clothing design with the company's imagery and use of digital media. He stepped down from its board in March 2018.
