Biography
Person.
Jeff Goldblum is an American actor whose screen persona combines intellectual nervousness, comic timing and an unusually recognisable physical presence. After early film and television work in the 1970s, he became increasingly prominent through films including The Big Chill, Into the Night and Silverado before David Cronenberg’s The Fly in 1986 gave him one of his defining dramatic roles.
As scientist Seth Brundle, Goldblum turned a body-horror transformation into a performance built equally from wit, romance, vanity and physical collapse. He later reached an even broader audience through Jurassic Park and Independence Day, while continuing to work across independent cinema, television, theatre and music.
