Chris Nieratko

Chris Nieratko is a writer associated with skateboarding magazines and VICE. His publishing career included work for Big Brother and a long-running VICE column that used adult-film reviews as a starting point for autobiographical stories and comic digressions.

The collection Skinema, his first book, brought together this material with photographs and a foreword by Johnny Knoxville. Nieratko has also worked in skate retail, connecting his writing to the shops, magazines and personalities of skateboarding culture.
