Jim Lawson

Jim Lawson is a comics artist and writer closely associated with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He joined Mirage Studios in 1986, initially inking before taking on pencilling and writing. His work included the series’ second volume, Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, miniseries and one-off stories.

Lawson drew all 32 issues of the fourth volume, published between 2001 and 2014, as part of a relationship with the characters lasting almost three decades. Beyond that work, his independently published comics include Guzzi LeMans, Dragonfly, Hellride, Dinosaur Head Cat and Box City Wallops, extending his interest in unusual creatures, machines and imagined worlds.
