Peter Perrett

Peter Perrett is a British singer, guitarist and songwriter who formed the Only Ones in 1976 after playing with England’s Glory. The Only Ones brought his distinctive, unhurried voice and romantic songwriting into the late-1970s new-wave scene through records including Another Girl, Another Planet, Even Serpents Shine and Baby’s Got a Gun.

After the band’s original split, Perrett recorded Woke Up Sticky with the One and later returned to sustained solo work. His Domino albums How the West Was Won, Humanworld and The Cleansing appeared in 2017, 2019 and 2024. The solo recordings continued his songwriting while involving a younger generation of musicians, including his sons.
