Biography

Person.

Léa Seydoux is a French actor equally at home in intimate European dramas and very large international productions. She drew wide attention in Christophe Honoré’s The Beautiful Person, then built a filmography with directors including Wes Anderson, Yorgos Lanthimos, David Cronenberg, Denis Villeneuve and Bertrand Bonello.

In 2013, Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos shared the Cannes Palme d’Or with director Abdellatif Kechiche for Blue Is the Warmest Colour—an unusual recognition of the film’s two lead performances. She later brought a quieter, more guarded kind of Bond character to Madeleine Swann in Spectre and No Time to Die.

Her career also reaches into fashion and games, but the connecting thread is a screen presence that can shift from cool distance to sudden vulnerability.
