Michael Evanet

Michael Evanet is a British photographer and filmmaker whose work includes fashion editorial, portraiture and commercial moving image. He photographed Jena Malone for the cover of Dazed & Confused's July 2003 Los Angeles issue, working with stylist Nicola Formichetti on its Hollywood on Trial story.

He subsequently directed the short film HWY and co-directed a Shopbop fashion film with photographer Christophe Rihet, shot at Coney Island. Editor Vashi Nedomansky's account of those projects describes the transition from still photography to filmmaking, with natural light and carefully composed frames remaining central to Evanet's approach.
