Tim Freccia is a photographer, filmmaker and creative director whose work has moved between documentary reporting and commercial image-making. He has spent decades photographing and filming people in situations of conflict and crisis, with work appearing through outlets including VICE, the BBC, Al Jazeera, The New York Times and Der Spiegel.
His collaboration with Robert Young Pelton on Saving South Sudan combined photography and film within a substantial VICE reporting project in 2014. Freccia's wider practice has also included advertising, furniture and boat building, and design. These activities bring practical construction and visual storytelling together within a career that crosses editorial and applied creative work.
