Biography
Person.
Jeneleen Floyd is an artist working with collage and animation. Born in Missouri, she studied fine art at the Maryland Institute College of Art before leaving the course, and subsequently lived in Italy, Los Angeles and London. Her Some Remote Sea project developed during her time in London.
Floyd’s collage practice draws on automatic methods associated with André Breton and William S. Burroughs, assembling found paper into images concerned with mythology, mysticism and sexuality. Her commercial work includes the Old Blue Last pub logo, which became the visual starting point for VICE’s 2006 Adicolor collaboration with Adidas.
