Petra Collins

Petra Collins is a photographer, artist and director whose work explores femininity, self-image and the relationship between life online and offline. She began making photographs as a teenager and has developed projects across art, fashion, music and publishing. Her books include Coming of Age and the artist anthology Babe, which she curated.

In Fairytales, published in 2021, Collins collaborated with Alexa Demie on photographs and stories that recast folklore through contemporary and imagined settings. Her book Miért vagy te, ha lehetsz én is? involved sculptor Sarah Sitkin and body casts, using self-portraiture to examine how the body becomes an image.
