Riccardo Tisci is an Italian fashion designer whose work has combined religious imagery, romanticism and streetwear. He studied at Central Saint Martins, graduating in 1999, and developed his own label before joining Givenchy in 2005.
At Givenchy he initially led womenswear, adding menswear to his responsibilities in 2008. His projects included costumes for Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet tour. He became Burberry’s chief creative officer in 2018 and remained there until 2022, bringing his approach to fashion and image-making to a British house with a long history of outerwear and recognisable checks.
