Alex Eckman-Lawn

Alex Eckman-Lawn is an artist and illustrator born in Philadelphia who studied illustration at the University of the Arts. His work includes comic interiors and covers, album artwork, music videos and gig posters. He has contributed covers to titles including Ice Cream Man, Something Is Killing the Children, The Department of Truth and Odin.

Alongside illustration, he makes layered, hand-cut paper collages. Combining his own digital paintings with found imagery, including medical illustrations, these works use physical depth and concealed spaces to explore the body, fear and control.
