Phil Poynter is a British photographer and filmmaker whose career developed through Dazed & Confused. He worked as a creative director and regular photographic contributor, helping shape the magazine’s early visual language.
His later work spans fashion, beauty, celebrity portraiture and advertising, with photographs in editions of Vogue, LOVE, Pop, Numéro and Vanity Fair. His commercial clients have included Louis Vuitton, Prada, Loewe and Alexander McQueen. Alongside still photography, he has directed fashion films and worked on photographic publishing projects, extending his editorial experience into moving images and books.
