Sean Murphy

Sean Murphy is an American comics writer and artist whose work spans original stories and established DC characters. His early independent work included Off Road, while later drawing credits include Joe the Barbarian, Hellblazer, American Vampire: Survival of the Fittest and The Wake, written by Scott Snyder.

As both writer and artist, Murphy created Punk Rock Jesus, a black-and-white satire about a television project involving a supposed clone of Jesus. His Batman: White Knight series reimagines Gotham through a different relationship between Batman and the Joker. These projects give him control of both the narrative and the visual presentation of extended comic-book stories.
