Alex Sturrock is a photographer whose work includes portraits and documentary studies of everyday life. He has contributed to VICE and photographed people outside the conventions of posed fashion imagery, with an interest in their activities and social surroundings.
His book Boxers, published by Ally Capellino in 2012, brought together portraits of current and former boxers with accounts of their lives. Made with producer Guy Gormley and designer Thomas Bush, the project explored the sport’s connections with community, ambition and life after competition.
