Princess Julia

Princess Julia is the professional name of Julia Fodor, a British DJ and writer associated with London’s club, fashion and queer cultures. She was part of the Blitz circle and appeared in Visage’s Fade to Grey video, becoming a familiar figure in the visual world around New Romantic music.

Her DJ career has included the club Kinky Gerlinky, while her writing and editorial work have connected her with i-D and music publishing. She has also collaborated on recordings and remixes with artists including Siobhan Fahey and Larry Tee. Across successive club scenes, Julia has remained involved as a participant, commentator and advocate for creative self-expression.
