Vic Reeves

Vic Reeves is the performance name of Jim Moir, a British comedian and artist. His television work with Bob Mortimer includes Vic Reeves Big Night Out, The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer, Shooting Stars and House of Fools, combining sketches, characters and deliberately absurd situations.

Moir has maintained a parallel visual-art practice, producing paintings and drawings alongside his broadcasting career. Birds are a recurring subject, while other works draw on fantasy and comic invention. His art has been shown at venues including the Royal Academy, the Baltic and the Lady Lever Art Gallery, extending a creative practice that crosses popular television and exhibition spaces.
