Aimee Cliff is a writer and therapist whose career began in music and cultural journalism. She worked as associate editor of The FADER and editor of Dazed Digital, and has written for The Guardian, Pitchfork, The Independent and Vice. Her magazine work includes the Dua Lipa cover feature in the first issue of The Face's 2019 relaunch.
Her book Empathy Takes Action, published in 2026, examines empathy through relationships, interviews and debates about autism. Drawing on her subsequent psychotherapy training, she approaches empathy as an active practice of understanding other people, connecting her later work to questions of identity and representation explored in her journalism.
