Ian Wright is a former England footballer and a broadcaster. He entered professional football with Crystal Palace at twenty-one after playing for Greenwich Borough and working as a plasterer. His goals helped establish him as a major Palace player, including two in the drawn 1990 FA Cup final.

Wright joined Arsenal in 1991, won the league's Golden Boot in his first season and became the club's record scorer with 185 goals, a total later surpassed by Thierry Henry.
