Biography
Person.
Magnus Unnar is an Icelandic photographer whose work spans fashion editorials, portraiture and personal pictures. He began exploring photography at art school as a teenager and later developed a magazine practice that included Interview, i-D, V, Purple and Dazed & Confused.
His first monograph, In the Middle of Something, was published in 2010. Made largely in Iceland, it brought together informal photographs of friends, family and everyday encounters gathered over many years. The book extends the immediacy of his editorial work into a personal record of relationships, places and unplanned moments.
