Biography
Person.
Corinne Day (1962–2010) was a British photographer whose self-taught approach brought a candid, autobiographical quality to fashion imagery. She developed sustained working relationships with sitters including Kate Moss, Rosemary Ferguson and Tara St Hill, allowing personal familiarity to inform her portraits.
Her first book, Diary, published in 2000, documented her life and friends; the work was exhibited at the Photographers’ Gallery that year. She also photographed for British, Italian and Japanese Vogue. A further book, May the Circle Remain Unbroken, was published posthumously in 2013, drawing on two decades of previously unseen work.
