Paul Slattery is a British music photographer whose career began in the mid-1970s. After photographing Dr Feelgood while studying environmental science at North London Polytechnic, he began working for Sounds, documenting the punk generation through performers including the Sex Pistols, the Clash, Elvis Costello and Siouxsie and the Banshees.
His subsequent subjects included the Specials, the Beat, Joy Division, the Fall and the Smiths. Slattery also photographed the Stone Roses on tour and at Spike Island, and spent time on the road with Oasis. His work follows British guitar music from pub rock and punk through independent music and the large audiences of the 1990s.
