Rie Rasmussen

Rie Rasmussen is a Danish actor, model and filmmaker whose career has moved between fashion photography and cinema. She worked as a model for brands including Gucci and Victoria’s Secret before appearing in Brian De Palma’s Femme Fatale.

She took a leading role opposite Jamel Debbouze in Luc Besson’s Angel-A. As a filmmaker, she wrote and directed Thinning the Herd, selected for the short-film competition at Cannes in 2004, and made the feature Human Zoo. Her practice places her on both sides of the camera, combining the performance work of modelling and acting with writing and directing.
