Cassie Ventura, known professionally as Cassie, is an American singer and model. After beginning in modelling, she worked with producer Ryan Leslie on recordings including Me & U. Her self-titled debut album appeared on Bad Boy Records in 2006 and included Long Way 2 Go.
Her music combines R&B with pop and hip-hop, often using spare arrangements around her vocals. She released the mixtape RockaByeBaby in 2013, discussing it as a way to reconnect with listeners after years of individual singles.
