Robert Blamire

Robert Blamire is a British musician and record producer who was a founding member of the punk band Penetration. His bass playing continued alongside singer Pauline Murray in the Invisible Girls, whose recordings involved producer Martin Hannett.

He also produced Author! Author!, the album by the Scottish band Scars. His later work includes running Polestar Studios in Newcastle with producer and engineer Alex Blamire. Established by Murray in 1990, Polestar developed from rehearsal rooms into a recording studio, giving Blamire a continuing role in the practical infrastructure of music-making as well as in performance and record production.
