Michael Madsen

Michael Madsen (1957–2025) was an American actor whose role as Mr Blonde in Reservoir Dogs established a distinctive screen presence: relaxed, watchful and capable of sudden violence. He returned to work with Quentin Tarantino in the Kill Bill films and The Hateful Eight.

His wider filmography includes Thelma & Louise, Donnie Brasco, Species and Sin City, alongside many independent productions. Away from acting, he published poetry collections including Burning in Paradise and Expecting Rain. His work crossed mainstream thrillers, lower-budget genre cinema and a parallel practice as a writer.
