Biography
Person.
Cliff Robinson is a British comics artist whose long association with 2000 AD has made him one of the most persistent visual custodians of Judge Dredd. His first 2000 AD credit came in 1984, and over the following decades he drew Judge Dredd, Judge Anderson and other strips while becoming especially prolific as a cover artist.
Robinson’s work combines exact draftsmanship with the exaggerated technology, uniforms and urban density demanded by Mega-City One, allowing him to move between straight action, grotesque comedy and highly finished single-image illustration. His Dredd interior credits include stories such as West Side Rumble, The Ugly Mug Ball, A Chief Judge Resigns and Block Rite, while his cover work extends across 2000 AD, the Judge Dredd Megazine and collected editions.
