Biography
Person.
Scarlett Carlos Clarke is a photographer and artist whose images explore domestic life, femininity and the unease within familiar surroundings. Her exhibition The Smell of Calpol on a Warm Summer's Night, shown at London's Cob Gallery in 2021, used staged interiors to bring comfort and claustrophobia into the same frame. The project also became a book published by Mörel in 2024.
Her work extends into music and fashion imagery, including Lady Gaga's Harlequin project. In 2026 she published PODUNK with IDEA, photographing Nadia Lee Cohen. Independent books and staged photographic narratives are central to her practice, placing private-looking moments within deliberately constructed visual worlds.
